The boys in this parkour documentary harbor the creativity into free-running moves and tricks used throughout their urban areas but in the gym also. The boys use parkour as their own escape from reality and their everyday lives. Instead of moping around with the general population they use parkour to think out of a box. Most people would walk around the wall but for these boys that is too run of the mill. They would much rather be seen scaling around it or climbing it. Parkour is a natural and healthy way for young men to seek out their own meaning while having fun and being creative.  Parkour has some near super-human abilities about it. When being involved in parkour some of the boys feel as close to super-human as it gets, which gives them a real exciting escape. Escaping from reality is represented through a physical passion in this documentary. The boys use their passion of parkour everyday to get away from their home lives and schooling while using the world as a playground. Parkour betters the boys because they use their creativity and skills to constantly en-better themselves at parkour while gaining essential life skills from it as well.

Using a documentary with a group of young boys was a strong choice to represent the theme. It was the right choice because we as a society usually see young teenager boys as troubled adolescents who are always into trouble. This documentary shows playful and safe ways for young men to escape their realities while staying out of using drugs smoking and other disturbing escapes from reality used by the younger population. The documentary embodies all the right values of someone who has learned that escaping reality is only for a brief time and if you learn to accept that, your escape might last a lifetime. When I was much younger I did a little parkour with some neighborhood friends but we usually enjoyed skateboarding around more. When you were riding around trying to find your next rail to grind or the next staircase to kickflip over;everything  would seem so endless while having your aspirations in front of you instead of your own responsibilities. I completely understand how they get so involved in parkour because it allows you to see more of the world while looking at with a set of new eyes. Instead of seeing it as a point A to point B trip, you will find endless creativity on your adventure which will allow you to take the pass less chosen.
